Sal Collura- Anytime Fitness
Sal started his career finding expedition in high school when he
completed a co-op placement in the Columbus Centre. He then attended George
Brown College for Fitness Management and dropped out in his first semester. Sal
decided to attend York University for Kinesiology because Sal had a desire to
know why he could never look like Arnold Schwarzenegger. This curiosity of the
human body drove Sal through his schooling. Sal then had many different careers
in many different fields.
After school, Sal worked in a cardiac rehab centre at the
Columbus Centre, and Adelaid Club. He then worked in the commercial field, and
after that he got into a high performance centre and became a director. Now
owning his own gym, Sal says not two days are the same. He is there for his
staff for support, but can’t wait until the company is self supportive so he can
return to personal training since he loves working with
people.
Challenges that Sal has faced in his career is keeping his ego in check,
stepping back from personal training, and delegating
tasks.
